What You’ll Learn:
What bees are and why they matter
Types of bees in a hive
Bee safety and respect
How a beehive works and bee communication
How to be a Bee friend
Please Note:
This experience involves close interaction with live bees in a working hive environment. Safety is our top priority, and you will be provided with all necessary protective equipment, including child-sized protective bee suits. A parent or responsible adult must accompany all children at all times during the session. Stuart will guide you through each step to ensure a comfortable and safe experience. We encourage calm and curious behaviour around the hive to keep both our young beekeepers and our bees safe and happy! While we make every effort to ensure the bees are calm and manageable, participants should feel comfortable working with live insects. No prior beekeeping experience is required, but an interest in nature and sustainability will enhance your experience.
