Join us at The Werombee Hive for a relaxing, hands-on candle-making workshop designed for beginners. Learn the fundamentals of working with beeswax, follow expert guidance, and take home handcrafted beeswax candles.

Workshop Overview:

In this workshop, you'll learn about the benefits of using beeswax for food storage and how it helps reduce plastic waste. You'll be introduced to the materials, including beeswax, jojoba oil, and resin, and understand the safety precautions for working with beeswax.

You'll then dive into the process of applying beeswax to fabric to create your own wraps. The fabric will be cut into your desired sizes (2 x 35cm wraps) and prepared for waxing. During the workshop, you'll explore different techniques to achieve an even and durable beeswax coating and personalise your wraps with patterns and designs, choosing from a variety of fabrics.

As the wraps cool and set, you'll receive tips on how to maintain and refresh your beeswax wraps at home. You'll also be provided with resources to help you create more wraps in the future.

What’s Included:

  • 2 x Beeswax Wraps (approx. 35cm each) to take home

  • All materials and tools provided

  • Step-by-step guidance from Ally Dench The Werombee Hive

  • Refreshments & snacks
