Bee Grateful for Bees – World Bee Day Morning Tea at The Werombee Hive

Wednesday 20 May 2026 | 10am – 12pm

This year, our World Bee Day gathering at The Werombee Hive will be a little more special — and very close to our hearts.

20 May would have been our beautiful son Rodney's birthday. We lost Rodney at just 15 to an asthma attack, and in his memory, we're opening the Hive for a gentle morning to pause, reflect, and give back. All proceeds from the day will be donated to the Asthma Foundation, supporting the important work they do for individuals and families living with asthma.

For those who can't make it in person, a donation link will also be available — every contribution means so much.

For me personally, this feels even more meaningful having recently been diagnosed with asthma myself. It's a reminder of how connected we all are — to our health, to nature, and to each other.

This isn't a big, busy event. It's something a little more gentle, a little more meaningful.

  • A relaxed morning to slow down, bee calm and bee mindful
    A honey-inspired morning tea
A short "Grateful for Bees" chat and moment to connect with nature
A small take-home gift to remember the day

In the busyness of life, this is a chance to pause, enjoy a cuppa, and feel grateful for the tiny things that make such a big difference.

Wednesday 20 May 2026 | 10am – 12pm The Werombee Hive, 1170 Werombi Road, Theresa Park NSW

$15 per person | Children under 5 free Includes morning tea. Bookings appreciated for catering.

Come along, bring a friend, and take a moment to simply… bee.
